Preterm birth

Preterm birth means you deliver you baby before the due date. The baby delivered before 37th week of the pregnancy is called preterm birth or premature labor and the baby is called as premature.
If you have consistent contractions that will affect your cervix to open before you reach your 37 week of the pregnancy, it means you are going for the preterm labor. ¼ of the total preterm births are planned due to some special conditions such as if your baby has stopped growing then doctors will suggest preterm labor. If your or your baby’s health is not going well or you have a serious medical condition then your health care provider might advise you preterm labor.
Preterm birth occurs if your membranes got ruptured or if your cervix become exposed without contractions. According to the survey in United States nearly 12% babies are born prematurely that is higher than the 1970s. Now a days most of the women using fertility medications and excessive use of such medicines leads to preterm delivery. Also, delaying pregnancy is another reason of the preterm birth.
Always consult your doctor during the pregnancy and ask her what to do? And what is best for you according to your pregnancy condition. Preterm birth can cause serious health issues for your baby so you must try to avoid this.
