Today I am sharing a common recipe “amrati” and a delicious
shake “Mango lassi”. Enjoy these recipes in Holy month of Ramadan and feel
healthy and refreshed.
Amrati Recipe
Amrati is also known as “Jalebi”.
Jalebi is a very tasty sweet dish of Sub-continent and very popular in
Pakistan. Amrati is also used as iftar recipe and prepared mostly on special
occasions. Here is the complete method of preparing Amrati:
Ingredients
Water Two
cups
Yogurt One
cup
Sugar One
cup
Baking powder half
spoon only
Self raising flour 2
and ¼ cups
Three saffron stands
Orange food coloring
Rose water one
table spoon
Vegetable oil 1
cup only
Instructions
Separate flour and baking powder with the help of sieve
three to four times
In another bowl make a mixture of food color, saffron and
yogurt
Now mix yogurt mixture into sieved flour and baking powder,
now leave this batter for two hours.
Get a pan, add two cup water, rose water and sugar in the
pan and put it on the stove till the sugar melted and the color of the syrup
turn to golden.
Now pour the batter in the ketchup distributor.
Now heat the oil and pour batter from ketchup dispenser in
the heated oil in circle shape. Now fry it for two minutes till the color turns
to golden
Take away from heat and put it in the prepared golden syrup
for five minutes
Amrati is ready, now serve it.
Mango Lassi:
I am not specifying
amount of the ingredient, you can vary it according to the quantity you want to
prepare. The thing that I recommend is that you must take all the ingredients
as much as fresh possible because it affect on the quality of shake.
Ingredients:
- Milk
- Yogurt
- Mango pulp
- Sugar to taste
- Ice cubes as required
Method:
Find a food processor. Add milk, yogurt, mango pulp, sugar
and ice cubes in the blender and blend them well until the mixture become soft
and creamy. Now you can serve it with some fruits.
Note: The recipes
mentioned above are not for the diabetic patients. If you are a diabetic
